All you need to do is decide on the type of accommodation you would like. It
depends on how long you intend to stay in London really... for 1 week, it's
usually best to go for a B&B or a hotel.
For 2 weeks or more and if you are a large party, maybe go for a short let.
Anyway, any option could be good. If you don't want to spend London prices but
would like to have an easy commute to London, then perhaps try somewhere outside
of the City. There are plently of transport options into London.
You may wish to stay somewhere a bit more rural. You could look towards Kent
where you can get a train to Charing Cross in less than 40 minutes.
